The return from the mountains

I am baaack. :D

Its been a long time, hasn't it? A week can pack in so much, and in such a short time. As promised, here is the long blogpost of my little trip up to camerons, complete with photos.

But first;

This shot is a birthday photo dedicated to Lesley. Happy birthday! I know you like cats :D if you want a A4 print of this, I will be happy to oblige. Happy late birthday again!

First off, my family and I had to make a quick detour to KL. Horrors of horrors, it turns out that there was no water up at my uncles place in the highlands! In the end, we spent about two days in KL, where we ate, walked around, ate some more, got a bit of food poisoning, ate some more anyway, and shopped. Food in KL is wonderful, but very bad for you. But wonderful anyway. :-D

That there is a kettle for making Bak Kut Teh. The proper way. Not by sticking some powder in hot water, like the way most people do it here. Real tea is brewed, before boiling pig bits in it. Notice that I said pig bits and not pork. This is because EVERYTHING goes in the pot- stomach, intestines, tail. Simply delicious.

I had pig's blood sausage there too. It was as good as I remembered. It gave me food poisoning, but no pain, no gain, eh?

This is a shark in the KL city center aquarium. He dosen't do much. But the fact that he has the nerve to just sleep there for people to gawk amuses me to no end. XD

THIS IS HOW PROPER CHINESE FOOD IS MADE. LOOK AND LEARN, FUTURE CHEFS.

Luckily, the water started flowing on monday, so up went the chua family to invade my Uncle's villa on the mountain.

Small towns on the way up mountains are very photogenic.

So are lizards in said small towns.

"The sky is blue". Proven. Much more photogenic than Singapore's grey skyline.

Lee Villa. The Chua Family Retreat. Occationally No electricity, No hot water, and no mordern distractions! My study haven/ Photo playground for a week.

Because Lee Villa flowers are beautiful.

Raspberries ripe for the picking! And to make Jam with! My sisters and I just went outside whenever we felt peckish and ate them straight off the plant. Way better than potato chips.

This dog occationally came to visit us. She's a natural model, eh?

How I studied.

With my blinding markers.

Study with a view?

even haze is appealing up in the mountains.

Macrooooos.

Eh. Will continue my rambling in another post. This one is too long already!
